Week 30: Senior Wills

It’s generally the tradition of the senior class to leave a “will” of things for the juniors below them. For example, I “willed” my first chair seat in the trumpet section, my extensive APUSH notes, and my prime locker spot to my various junior friends.

If you were to create a senior will, what would you leave for your junior friends?

Week 29: Words From The Wise!

Can you feel it? Graduation is just around the corner, which means you’ve just about survived your senior year of high school!

Soon your position as the top-dogs of the school will be replaced by the juniors. What advice do you have for the junior class on surviving their senior year and making sure that it is the best year ever? Is there anything you recommend that they ABSOLUTELY must do? Any mistakes you’ve made that you want them to learn from? Spread the legacy of the Class of 2022!

Week 28: Weirdest Compliment

Compliments are so nice to hear every now and then.  But sometimes people give us compliments that we have either never heard before or are totally taken aback by.

What’s the strangest or most unexpected compliment you’ve ever received? Who gave it to you? Did you believe the compliment, or was it totally off from the truth?

Week 27: Monster in the Closet

We all have super active imaginations as children. Maybe that’s why we get scared so easily when we’re younger.

After seeing Toy Story when it first came out, I was terrified of my American Girl doll, because I was convinced she was real. Granted, I was six years old, but gosh darn it, I was scared!

What scared you as a child? Are you still scared of this, or is that terror a thing of the past?

Week 26: I Give You Unlimited Time!

In the musical, “The Last Five Years,” there’s a song about a talking clock who gives an old, deserving man unlimited time. He uses it to create a beautiful dress, and as the hours go backwards, he gets younger and younger. The song ends with the man proposing to a young woman, who then wears that dress at their wedding.

Kind of a nice sentiment, don’t ‘cha think?

Imagine that you met the talking clock and now had unlimited time. What is something that you would love to accomplish that maybe you’ve always wanted to do, but never had the time for?

Week 25: Talking to Myself

Imagine that future you arrived out of nowhere to have a conversation with you. Your life is coming closer to some big events (such as prom, senior trip, and graduation!) and older, wiser you wants to offer some advice, whether it be about those events, adapting to life after high school, or some type of other advice/comments.

What would both of you (literally) talk about? Do you think you'd trust future you, or rather not listen to what you have to say?

Week 24: I Don’t Wanna Grow Up!

It’s time to end another round of blogs…but don’t cry! There’s still more to come for next quarter! Remember:

·       All blogs are due at NOON on SATURDAY 26th!

·       Each entry must be at least 100 words to be given full credit (and you should know by now that I don’t count filler sentences like “just a few more words…and a little more…almost there…ok, done Miss Hudson!”)

·       Each student must have left at least 20 comments on other classroom blogs. Remember, one for every person in YOUR class. Comments must prove to me that you read the blog post, and they must be longer than a few words.

Now for your prompt…

When I was little, I LOVED playing with legos. They were technically my brother’s toys, but I would spend hours playing with them, making up adventure stories for the little plastic figures. Plus, I thought the miniature versions of the tools were fantastically epic.

What was your favorite toy as a kid? What made it so cool? If you didn’t really have one or don’t remember, what was your favorite game to play as a child? (Gotta love Red Light, Green Light!)
